INTRODUCING THE RESILIENT KITCHEN COLLECTIVE
HI, I’M MONA AND I GET IT!
As a fellow MS’er, living with relapsing remitting MS since 2009 I understand that multiple sclerosis is a snowflake disease. And as snowflakes, we are all unique and each of us experiences the disease a bit differently.
As a Registered Dietitian, nutrition is my profession and I have had the privilege of working with hundreds of people who are navigating wellness with MS.
I understand how seductive it can be when Dr. Google promises to heal, beat, reverse of cure your MS with some restrictive food rules and a collection of supplements. In truth, Dr. Google does not care about your health. The only thing that really matters to Dr. Google is the bottom line.
You deserve better than that.
That is what inspired me to create the RESILIENT KITCHEN COLLECTIVE
- I created the Resilient Kitchen Collective to provide you with affordable access to credible guidance and actionable resources to support you with your wellness goals.
- This is the place to get guidance, community, support and- if you would like it– accountability, as you work on your individual wellness goals.
- The Resilient Kitchen Collective is that place. Are you ready to get started?

WHAT INFORMATION WILL BE COVERED?
A new self-paced online video lesson will be released on Monday of each each week. There will be time to discuss each topic further or answer question in weekly group calls. Topics we will cover include:
Module 1 – Do I need to eat differently because of MS? We will dive into the role of nutrition in the course of the MS disease process and talk a bout some of the dietary approaches promoted to manage MS.
Module 2 – Busting Nutrition Myths You have no doubt heard some crazy things about the miraculous things foods can do to heal disease. We will talk about how to navigate the world of nutrition myths and how to become a mythbuster yourself!
Module 3 – Mindset Matters There is power in how you think. We will assess your current mindset and talk about some strategies to make a mindset shift.
Module 4 – What is your why? Honestly, the “why” is really more important than the “what” do you want to change? That is because motivation is an undervalued and very important component of change. If you are not sure why making a change is important to you, then working on your goals will feel really hard.
Module 5 – Knowledge is power, right? Well, it is a great first step (once you have quality information anyway) but it is by doing that we change our habits. Have you ever thought (or said out loud…) “I know what I need to do but…” We will talk about some strategies to put your knowledge into action.
Module 6 – SMART Goals SMART goals provide the roadmap that keeps us focused on the supportive actions that bring us closer to our goal and away from the counter productive actions we may fall back on without a plan. We will talk about how to set SMART goals and create a roadmap that is individual to each of us.
Module 7 – Emotions and Eating Eating for reasons other than physical hunger is a normal human occurrence. Food is sometimes used as a way to deal with unpleasant feelings. It is one tool. We will talk about how to add other tools to the toolbox.
Module 8 – Gut Health This is an exciting new area of research with possible implications for the MS community. But what does the science say? We will review current science and talk about ways to support your gut.
Module 9 – Meal Planning Fatigue, cog fog, mobility limitations, spasticity, pain, fine motor challenges, anxiety/depression…a day in the life with MS, right? But this does not prevent the question “what’s for dinner”? Am I right? We will talk about some meal planning strategies to make meal planning with MS a bit more manageable.
Module 10 – Communication Everything listed above is made easier and more effective with communication. We will review some of the ways that communication can be helpful as we work toward our goals.
Module 11 – Members choice What have we NOT discussed that you want to learn more about or talk about? This week the members can decide what the focus will be!
Module 12 – Keep it going Congratulations! You made it through 12 weeks working towards your goals, now what? We will talk about strategies to keep the momentum going.
How much does it cost?
Group coaching is an affordable option but it also has a hidden bonus– working with a group of people who get it too! How many times have you heard the phrase “you just don’t get MS until you get it! Well, not only do I get it, but your fellow group members will too. That is an invaluable bonus I think
In order to get 12 focused individual sessions to cover the same material, questions and get accountability and support would cost $1440.00.
Or you could join us in the Resilient Kitchen Collective for $420.00 for the entire 12 weeks. That breaks down to $35.00 per week.
You can choose a single payment of $420.00 or 3 monthly payments of $150.00
After payment is received, you will receive two emails. One email will include your payment receipt. The following email will detail your unique log in information as well as some tips for getting around and some pre-coaching homework to complete.
THE RESILIENT KITCHEN COLLECTIVE WILL HELP YOU:
Sort Through Information Overload
Sort through information overload and get clear about the role of nutrition in multiple sclerosis. Learn about the efficacy of popular diets, protocols, regimens and supplements promoted to benefit people with MS.
Get answers to your most pressing nutrition questions from a Registered Dietitian living with RRMS for over 10 years.
You will set SMART wellness goals which will provide you with a supportive roadmap for working toward wellness with MS. Monthly Challenges will encourage you to take action!
MS can lead to feeling really isolated. The Resilient Kitchen will connect with others who understand and support you as you work toward wellness with Multiple sclerosis.
Understand Food Choice and MS Symptoms
How are they related? Which came first? What is the role of food in managing Primary and Secondary MS symptoms? We are all as individual as snowflakes and will need to learn what works for us individually.
For less than 30% of what it would cost with weekly office visits you can have access to everything that I share with all of the clients I work with in my private practice. From the convenience of your own home!
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHEN DO I GET ACCESS TO WHAT?
The Resilient Kitchen Collective is a 12-Week Group Coaching Program. Enrollment is open from December 23, 2019 until January 8, 2020.
After payment is received, you will receive two emails. One email will include your payment receipt. The following email will detail your unique log in information as well as some tips for getting around. You will also receive a self assessment along with some other documents to review and complete prior to the first video lesson being released on Monday January 13th. The first group call is scheduled for Wednesday Jan 15, 2020 at 7:00 pm EST.
New video lessons will be released every Monday and can be viewed at your own pace and whenever is most convenient for you.
Weekly Group calls will take place on Wednesday evenings. Once enrolled you will see the complete calendar of scheduled calls.
WHAT IF I HAVE A QUESTION THAT YOU DON’T ADDRESS WITHIN THE GROUP?
Each Monday I will put out a call for questions and will answer them on the group call. If for any reason you have a question that you would prefer to be answered privately, you can also email me.
You can also ask whatever you want in the community chat. I will chime in there as well but I suspect that your fellow group members may have some insight as well!
WHAT IS THE TIME COMMITMENT?
Each video lesson (module) will require anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour to work through on average.
If you prefer to take it faster or slower no worries! This is your resource! Use it in the way that works best for you!
I do recommend that you try to implement something from each module as this will help turn knowing in to doing.
DOES MEMBERSHIP INCLUDE MEAL PLANS OR RECIPES?
No, not really.
I will offer recipes, tips and suggestions along the way and you will be encouraged to do the same! But I do not provide meal plans.
This is because we are all different and have different preferences and dislikes.
We don’t need to be eating the exact same meals to be healthy! Instead we will work together to plan meals and menus.
WHAT IF I AM NOT LOCATED IN THE US?
I DON’T HAVE MS BUT LOVE SOMEONE WHO DOES, IS THIS RIGHT FOR ME?
Absolutely! I am the one in my family that was diagnosed with MS but my husband and kids live with MS as well!
If you love someone with MS and would like to join us in this conversation, please do! Your insight and perspective are so important!
CAN I GET MORE INDIVIDUALIZED SUPPORT?
I offer GROUP COACHING SESSIONS every quarter. I have chosen quarterly because it takes time to change habits. 3 months of focused coaching will offer more individualized support as you turn knowing into doing. If you would like to add one or more INDIVIDUAL COACHING SESSIONS, you will have the opportunity to request one from within your member portal.
