ARE YOU CONFUSED ABOUT WHAT IT MEANS TO EAT WELL WITH

MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS?

The Resilient Kitchen Collective is a 12-Week Group Coaching Program for people living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) who:

  • would like to dive deeper into the role of nutrition in MS beyond the clickbait…
  • are overwhelmed by confusing and conflicting nutrition information
  • would like to turn your goals into habits
  • want answers to nutrition questions from a Registered Dietitian living with MS for over 10 years and totally gets it.
  • want the support of a group of fellow MS’ers who also totally get it.
  • no longer believe that you need a restrictive regimen, arbitrary protocol or set of food rules to feel confident that your food will nourish you and contribute to health.

STOP ME IF ANY OF THIS SOUNDS FAMILIAR…

You think you should really “get” healthy eating by now and be feeling better as a result.

You know that “eating well” will help you feel better and be healthier but all of the confusing and conflicting information on the internet makes it hard to know what it even means to eat well with Multiple Sclerosis.

You hoped that you would be able to control MS with diet. But control isn’t working. You are sick of constantly thinking about food.

You have tried all of the “MS Diets”, “regimens” and “protocols”.

You have taken all of the supplements.

You have beaten yourself up for “falling off the wagon” or not following the guidelines strictly enough.

You really want to enjoy food without that guilty feeling you get after you have eaten [insert forbidden food here]. But you also are afraid that eating [insert forbidden food here] will make your MS worse.

You want to follow the “MS Diet” ,”Protocol” or “regimen” guidelines, but your family does not like the foods at all. Or they are expensive and hard to find. Or both.

You just want to be able to eat, enjoy your food and know that you are nourishing your body in a way that will promote good health and make you feel good.

You have tried everything to feel better.

You are exhaustipated!

If it does, you already know what a minefield it can be to get quality nutrition advice and support for folks living with Multiple Sclerosis.

INTRODUCING THE RESILIENT KITCHEN COLLECTIVE

HI, I’M MONA AND I GET IT!

As a fellow MS’er, living with relapsing remitting MS since 2009 I understand that multiple sclerosis is a snowflake disease. And as snowflakes, we are all unique and each of us experiences the disease a bit differently.

As a Registered Dietitian, nutrition is my profession and I have had the privilege of working with hundreds of people who are navigating wellness with MS.

I understand how seductive it can be when Dr. Google promises to heal, beat, reverse of cure your MS with some restrictive food rules and a collection of supplements.  In truth, Dr. Google does not care about your health. The only thing that really matters to Dr. Google is the bottom line.

You deserve better than that.

That is what inspired me to create the RESILIENT KITCHEN COLLECTIVE

  • I created the Resilient Kitchen Collective to provide you with affordable access to credible guidance and actionable resources to support you with your wellness goals.
  • This is the place to get guidance, community, support and- if you would like it– accountability, as you work on your individual wellness goals.
  • The Resilient Kitchen Collective is that place.  Are you ready to get started?

Community Support There will be a private and supportive community of fellow MS’ers who understand the challenges of living with MS. By popular request, enrollment includes a chat space and a feed that works a lot like and resembles Facebook but exists inside the Resilient Kitchen Collective portal (not on Facebook)!

Helpful Resources Each week you will have access to downloadable resources to use with the video lessons as well as working toward your wellness goals.

WHAT INFORMATION WILL BE COVERED?

A new self-paced online video lesson will be released on Monday of each each week. There will be time to discuss each topic further or answer question in weekly group calls. Topics we will cover include:

Module 1 – Do I need to eat differently because of MS? We will dive into the role of nutrition in the course of the MS disease process and talk a bout some of the dietary approaches promoted to manage MS.

Module 2 – Busting Nutrition Myths You have no doubt heard some crazy things about the miraculous things foods can do to heal disease. We will  talk about how to navigate the world of nutrition myths and how to become a mythbuster yourself!

Module 3 – Mindset Matters  There is power in how you think. We will assess your current mindset and talk about some strategies to make a mindset shift.

Module 4 – What is your why? Honestly, the “why” is really more important than the “what” do you want to change?  That is because motivation is an undervalued and very important component of change. If you are not sure why making a change is important to you, then working on your goals will feel really hard.

Module 5 – Knowledge is power, right? Well, it is a great first step (once you have quality information anyway) but it is by doing that we change our habits. Have you ever thought (or said out loud…) “I know what I need to do but…” We will talk about some strategies to put your knowledge into action.

Module 6 – SMART Goals SMART goals provide the roadmap that keeps us focused on the supportive actions that bring us closer to our goal and away from the counter productive actions we may fall back on without a plan. We will talk about how to set SMART goals and create a roadmap that is individual to each of us.

Module 7 – Emotions and Eating  Eating for reasons other than physical hunger is a normal human occurrence. Food is sometimes used as a way to deal with unpleasant feelings. It is one tool. We will talk about how to add other tools to the toolbox.

Module 8 – Gut Health This is an exciting new area of research with possible implications for the MS community. But what does the science say? We will review current science and talk about ways to support your gut.

Module 9 – Meal Planning Fatigue, cog fog, mobility limitations, spasticity, pain, fine motor challenges, anxiety/depression…a day in the life with MS, right? But this does not prevent the question “what’s for dinner”? Am I right? We will talk about some meal planning strategies to make meal planning with MS a bit more manageable.

Module 10 – Communication Everything listed above is made easier and more effective with communication. We will review some of the ways that communication can be helpful as we work toward our goals.

Module 11 – Members choice What have we NOT discussed that you want to learn more about or talk about? This week the members can decide what the focus will be!

Module 12 – Keep it going Congratulations! You made it through 12 weeks working towards your goals, now what? We will talk about strategies to keep the momentum going.

How much does it cost?

Group coaching is an affordable option but it also has a hidden bonus– working with a group of people who get it too! How many times have you heard the phrase “you just don’t get MS until you get it!  Well, not only do I get it, but your fellow group members will too. That is an invaluable bonus I think

In order to get 12 focused individual sessions to cover the same material, questions and get accountability and support would cost $1440.00.

Or you could join us in the Resilient Kitchen Collective for $420.00 for the entire 12 weeks. That breaks down to $35.00 per week.

You can choose a single payment of $420.00 or 3 monthly payments of $150.00

After payment is received, you will receive two emails. One email will include your payment receipt. The following email will detail your unique log in information as well as some tips for getting around and some pre-coaching homework to complete.
